A workspace memory came to mind immediately after seeing a friend’s recent (not more than an hour ago) Facebook post.

The memory

After not more than 3 months into a job, I was explicitly told by my manager that my dropping by folks’ cubicles in the morning to say “Hello” was not appreciated by some. Therefore, he preferred I not do so.
